Robotics Makes Wave at Glacier Peak: A Strong Performance & Wins Sustainability Award

This past weekend, FRC Team 360, The Revolution, competed at the Glacier Peak High School district event for the FIRST Robotics Competition REEFSCAPE challenge.
It was an intense and exciting competition, with our team demonstrating resilience, adaptability, and teamwork throughout the event.

Qualification Matches
Throughout the qualification rounds, our robot performed consistently, showcasing our strategic design and well-executed autonomous routines. Our drive team navigated each match with precision, executing effective game strategies and maintaining strong alliances. Despite some early challenges, we made continuous improvements to our robot’s performance, particularly in optimizing our intake and scoring mechanisms. By the end of qualifications, we ranked 7th out of 33 teams.

Alliance Selection & Playoffs
After an impressive showing in the qualification matches, we joined the 4th alliance, captained by FRC 2522, Royal Robotics of Lynnwood HS, and invited FRC 4512, Otter Chaos of Cascade HS, to join our alliance. Our alliance faced strong competition, pushing us to refine our tactics and maximize scoring efficiency. We executed well-coordinated offensive and defensive plays, contributing significantly to our alliance’s overall performance. We ended our run in the semi-finals.

Technical and Strategic Highlights

Autonomous Performance: Our robot successfully completed autonomous tasks in multiple matches, contributing valuable points early in each round.

Scoring Efficiency: We consistently scored game pieces and adapted our cycle times based on match situations.

Drive Team Execution: Our drivers and human players demonstrated excellent communication and strategy implementation.

Pit Crew Efforts: Our pit crew worked diligently to maintain and enhance the robot’s functionality between matches, ensuring peak performance.

Team Spirit & Outreach
Beyond competition, Team 360 continued to embody the spirit of FIRST by engaging with other teams, assisting with technical challenges, and spreading enthusiasm for STEM. Our bright royal blue polos and orange aprons stood out as we cheered on our alliance partners and competitors alike.

Awards & Recognition
Team 360 was honored to receive the Sustainability Award, recognizing our commitment to long-term team growth, community impact, and responsible resource management.

Looking Ahead
Up next is the Auburn District Competition at Auburn High School, taking place March 22-23. We invite our community, friends, and supporters to come cheer us on and witness the excitement of FIRST Robotics in action! Your encouragement and presence make a huge difference as we compete and showcase our hard work.

With valuable lessons learned from Glacier Peak, we are eager to refine our robot and strategies in preparation for our next competition. Our team is more motivated than ever to push forward, improve, and continue making an impact in the FIRST community.
