CURA PERSONALIS: THE 4 YEAR IGNATIAN EXPERIENCE
During freshman and sophomore year, students participate in six different service modules focused on Catholic Social Teaching and the Universal Apostolic Preferences. As part of this program, freshmen spend a full day in service at L’Arche Farm and sophomores spend a full day at St. Leo Catholic Church doing service with local agencies such as Nativity House, Food Connection, and the Tacoma Rescue Mission. During junior year, students complete their individual service work through participation in Ignatian Formation activities, school leadership opportunities, and service work with local agencies of their choice. They also incorporate advocacy steps for a justice topic they are interested in. Upon completion of the service work their senior year, the class counts as a .5 theology credit.
