KNKX School of Jazz Guest DJ for May: Sidney Mbugua B'25

We're proud to share that Bellarmine senior and standout jazz musician, Sidney Mbugua ’25, has been named this month’s KNKX School of Jazz Guest DJ.

Additional highlights from the year in Bellarmine's Jazz program
  1. Bellarmine Jazz 1 and our student jazz combo were invited to perform at the Fulcrum Celebration of Light 2025 on January 31.
  2. That student jazz combo of Micaiah Tinkler B'25, Kent Hoiden B'25, Xavier Colón B'28, Joseph Masterson B'27, and Brandon Small B'25 were invited to record a KNKX School of Jazz studio session.
  3. Bellarmine Jazz 1 took second place in their division at the annual Commencement Bay Jazz Festival at Fife High School on March 22 with support from many of our program's younger members who filled in for the seniors who were on the Magis retreat that day.
  4. You can hear the 2024-2025 version of Bellarmine Jazz 1 in action in its final performances at the upcoming Farewell to Seniors concert taking place on May 15 at 7 p.m. in the theater as well as during the 2025 Academic Awards Assembly on May 23.
