Graduation Requirements

At Bellarmine, a total of 20.0 credits are specified as department requirements. A total of 26 credits will be required for graduation and a College Preparatory Diploma which will fulfill admissions requirements for college.

The department requirements for graduation are:

(.5 in Visual Arts is required)
(.5 in Music, Art, approved co-curricular Drama or Speech)

2.5 Religion (.5 required for Seniors) (3.0 required as of 2010)

3 Social Studies
19.5 Credits in Required Subject Areas (20.0 as of 2010)

The four-year semester program provides opportunities for students to earn 28 credits. They are required to earn 26.

Transfer Students

Students transferring into Bellarmine during their sophomore or junior year are required to fulfill Bellarmine's requirements from the time of their transfer.

From the time of their transfer, students must earn:

Sophomores .......................................... 18.5 Credits
Juniors*.................................................. 12 Credits

*A full year of junior level religion courses is required of all transfer students.

College Admissions Requirements

If plans after high school include attending a college, the student should plan the high school program carefully. The high school program should include meeting admission requirements of schools being considered. Generally academic admission requirements for
two and four year colleges are as follows:
