Textbooks
The primary source for Bellarmine textbooks for the 2012-13 year is Follett Virtual Bookstore. The website to access our books is: www.bellarmineprep.bkstr.com. You can shop online now for Summer Reading books and fall textbooks for the 2012-13 year.
Also see the book list update below for any updates/changes to the book list.
You may also shop at Follett Virtual Bookstore by calling toll-free 1-877-827-2665 (1-877-VAR-BOOK) to order over the phone with customer service agents - starting June 1 for Summer Reading books and July 15 for textbooks for the upcoming year.
Required Summer Reading 2012
The Bellarmine English Department requests that during the summer months our students stay active as readers. In light of this, we request that students read each summer. Students, upon their return to school, will be given an exam that will allow them to express their understanding of the summer reading. See the Summer Reading List here.
Student Schedule and Textbook List
In order to facilitate the book buy backs, a list of books needed for next year and your student(s) tentative schedule are mailed to Bellarmine families in late May or early June. These schedules may be altered somewhat as to class period, but the academic course listings should be accurate. The book list is available below - as well as updates to the list as they may occur over the summer. There is also a listing of books we are not using next year that can be found here.
See the textbook list link below for the complete listing of Bellarmine textbooks. The Fall Book List with 2012-13 prices is available online starting July 15 through Follett Virtual Bookstore.

Non-Credit Card Orders
For those who prefer not to use their credit card, either online or over the phone, Bellarmine will set up accounts and you will be billed for the textbooks you order through your Bellarmine account. There is some paperwork that will be required if you choose to have a Bellarmine account. Please contact the Bellarmine Book Line at 253-752-7701, ext. 829, for this information after July 1.
Book List Updates
Due to changes by publishers, occasionally there are updates/changes to the book list sent to students in the spring. Please see the changes/updates below and check back for changes and updates as summer progresses.
Government Textbook - Approaching Democracy
We will be using the 6th edtion of the Approaching Democracy book for the government class this year. The publisher of the book has discontinued this edition, but we have sold many of these already and are committed to this book for the year. If you still need this book, here are your options: Find it online at another retailer (it's available on other sites); buy the book used from the school -- there are a few copies left from the used book sale; or share the book with someone who has already bought it and has the class in the opposite semester as you. We are sorry for this inconvenience, but we do not have control of the publisher.
